Cassette Label printing application.

This is a simple MSAccess 2000 application designed to print cassette labels and mailing labels for a church cassette ministry. It is designed for a typical small church ministry that distributes up to a few hundred tapes per week. It is very basic, just label printing -- no catalog printing, no record keeping, no statistics, no billing.

Features:

Simple to learn -- everything is on on one screen, no training needed.
Keeps a table of cassettes that may be requested.
Keeps a table of people who request cassettes, with a place for their address if tapes are to be sent by mail, and an indicator of whether they automatically receive a tape each week and how many.
Requests are entered from weekly request sheets by the user to create a batch of labels to be printed -- who requested, which tape, how many.
Prints directly to labels, does not use a mail-merge or third-party label printing software.
Prints cassette labels sorted by date and time which makes it easy to match labels up with duplicated tapes.
Prints mailing labels for those who receive their tapes by mail.
Can print to a partially used sheet of labels by skipping over already-used labels.
When you print, it shows a print preview first so you can see what it's going to do before printing, and cancel if it isn't right.
One additional line of text can be printed on every cassette label. You enter this text on the screen and it is remembered from one session to the next.

The application is designed for one specific cassette label size, 2/3" x 3-1/2" two-up (Avery 5366, 8266, 8366, etc), which is a standard label size for file folders. It is a very economical label, and easy to stick on tapes. We found that volunteers who are all thumbs have extreme difficulty sticking on the typical full-cassette labels. The folder labels are also available with a peelable adhesive (Avery 8066). If you want to use a different sized label, you will need to modify the report definition yourself in Design Mode.

The mailing label size is the standard 1" x 2-5/8" three-up (Avery 5160 or equiv.).
